I moved last year and had to file an incident report to get reimbursed $100, but this was my experience: I was honestly surprised by the absolute carelessness that the movers showed to our things. When the movers arrived there were plenty of moving blankets in the truck and I assumed they would offer/ask before moving some of our larger and more delicate pieces of furniture.
