The tech that came out told us we had mold on our AC unit in the attic (quoted a 3k UV light) and told us our upstairs A/C unit was on its way out and we would need to replace it (14k) as it wouldn’t make it through the summer. Got a second company out for a second option. Turns out our AC systems are in great shape with only minor tune up needed…. These guys are out for your money, be careful!
We had a tankless water heater fail on us. I called my usual plumbing company and they had no availability for even emergency service. I was even on their paid membership program.
Well I called The Woodlands Heating and Air Conditioning and a senior technician was available immediately. Mr Ray was thorough in his repair assessment and explained clearly and showed me exactly what failed and how it could be repaired. He called the factory rep to have the replacement part delivered overnight.

I cannot do business with a company who uses virtual AI assistants to set their appointments. SUCH a waste of my time as the customer in order to save this company money. I love my Woodlands Plumbing tech, Samuel, but I just can’t do business with Woodlands HVAC anymore…will look for a new local company who still believes in customer service over AI and can see that AI is costing them business and customers, not saving them money at all. Disappointing
$900 for labor just to install a garbage disposal? Oh my! Sadly, this business is under new ownership.
***caution***this business is under new ownership and is way overcharging people for repairs and replacements! The technician wanted to charge me $900 just for labor to install at new garbage disposal and then tells me I would need to buy the garbage disposal myself at Home Depot for $300. I have a different plumber here charging me $250 for labor AND the new unit. Please be very aware!!!
There was a time when this was a Best of the Woodlands company. But something has materially changed over the last two years, and it has decreased the quality of service. Maybe its the AI call center to schedule, the offering of a variety of non-HVAC service lines, or change in ownership. I dont know what is the cause, but the result is a more salesy business who has lost my trust and therefore, my business.
They are reliable, arrive early, and explain everything in detail. John was a very personable guy, gave me some options for the leak near my water meter. He said his crew would be here for the repair within 45 minutes and they were. They did an amazing job, can barely tell they dug up my yard. They are my go to because dependability and trust is everything.
From the moment Jordan and Manager Dontay arrived this morning, their attention to detail impressed me. They handled everything flawlessly and took time to explain each issue thoroughly. I must say, since becoming a member of this company, I have no complaints. Every employee who came out to my residence has been absolutely professional. I have been satisfied with every employee.
