get a contract! Brian loves to give you “estimates” but then while working on your house, he will say oh we need to do this and we need to do that. We need to do that and oh by the way, I need a payment. However, what he doesn’t give you is a contract with any kind of payment schedule and he’ll work until he feels like he’s been paid enough and then he’ll just abandon the job at your house and not finish anything. up to an including leaving his trash everywhere.
