I needed to stain my 80 x 8 feet fence and they recommended to buy 2x 5 gallons buckets to cover both sides. According to them, a single 5 gallon bucket covers 100-120 feet of a 6 feet fence. I stained my fence with an air sprayer and I was able to do a single coat on both sides (160 x 8 feet ) with a single bucket and there's still like a quart remaining.
